This is a great reel, if you can get one that works. I ordered two of these reels. One worked fine and the other one would catch the string. I took it apart and noticed the string housing was so thin that the edges came apart and would catch the string. I sent it back to Amazon and it was quickly replaced. The replacement was in the same condition. Wanting to go fishing, I covered the outside edges of the housing with metal glue and rounded it off after it dried. So far, it is working just fine. I would pay twice the price if Zebco would put a little more metal on the parts that count the most.

MY FIRST UNDER TRIGGER REEL,AND I LOVE IT,ALL MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE TRIED IT LOVE IT.VERY ACCURATE FOR BASS FISHING,WITH A MED FIRM SPINNING ROD.GET RID OF THE STIFF 10 LB LINE AND PUT A GOOD QUALITY 8 LB LINE ON. THIS WILL EASILY CATCH CATS,CRAPPIE, BASS AND ALL OTHERS AROUND 5 OR 6LBS I HAVE SEVERAL HIGH DOLLAR SPIN CAST REELS,BUT THIS ZEBCO WILL BE GOING EVERY TIME I GO FISHING
